At GEKA, a strong connection is created between fresh ideas and valuable experience. Colleagues share their hands-on knowledge and actively support the next generation. At the same time, we design working conditions that promote both the development of new talent and the long-term performance and health of everyone.
A particular focus is placed on the targeted promotion of diversity and inclusion. Around 15% of our production employees have a migration background. Our lived diversity is also reflected in our gender distribution: women account for 55% of management positions, represent 24% of leadership roles, and make up 54% of the remaining workforce—clear evidence of our ongoing commitment to promoting and strengthening equal opportunities at all levels.
To break down language barriers and open up development opportunities, we have established our own in-house GEKA Academy. It offers a wide range of language courses as well as professional and technical training programs.
As a member of the Bavarian initiative “Familienpakt Bayern,” we continue to expand this commitment and will develop our offerings even more closely together with our employees in the future.
WELL-BEING IN ALL AREAS - OUR COMMITMENT
Maintaining the health and well-being of our employees safeguards their performance and is in the interest of our company. For a joyful and safe working environment we provide free drinking water and fresh fruit as well as staging special well-being days, supporting participation in sporting events, and through a host of occupational safety measures.
We work with suppliers that share our values of sustainability and social responsibility and evaluate their performance in these areas on a regular basis. We are engaged in our community and support nearby schools, clubs, and workshops for the blind and disabled through donations, sponsorships, and joint events.
